哥斯达黎加《民族报》1月31日报道，2017年哥斯达黎加国家旅游局拟斥资1.49亿美元新建11家酒店，创造816个就业岗位。2016年，哥斯达黎加新增16家旅游型酒店，创造292个就业岗位。目前，哥斯达黎加酒店客房数量约5000个。
近年，瓜那卡斯特省酒店规模居首，蓬塔雷纳斯省次之。业内人士表示，在经历数年迅猛发展后，哥斯达黎加酒店业保持平稳增长，建议应在如图里阿尔瓦地区等特色景区建设大型酒店接待旅游团。
