日本旅游行业协会指出，众多中国旅行团已经取消3月底前的赴日旅行，预计未能按原计划出行的中国游客总数将超40万。
日本官方数据显示，2019年，中国大陆游客占到总海外游客数量的30%，这959万大陆游客在日本消费了1.77万亿日元（约合人民币1127亿元，占到日本旅游消费收入的40%左右，其中购物支出以9366亿日元（约合人民币596亿元）占比最高，而后是住宿和餐饮。
